A Busy Boy

.
I used to know a Cindy once,
A Sally,
And a Sue.
I knew them well, if you know what I mean.
And I'm pretty sure you do.

And then there was a Peggy once,
Who was really very sweet.
And how could I ever forget
Ann Marie,
Who was also pretty neat!

And Barbs,
Oh my!
What CAN I say...
Too many to keep track!
One had no car,
One had a Ford,
And one, a Cadillac.

There's been so many, I tend to forget!
( My favorite was probably Joan )
There's been so many,
So many,
And yet......
Here am I
Alone.

Here's that cummings poem. . I don't see anything alike about the two. . I'm kinda confused...

Between The Breasts

between the breasts
of bestial
Marj lie large
men who praise

Marj’s cleancornered strokable
body these men’s
fingers toss trunks
shuffle sacks spin kegs they

curl
loving
around
beers

the world has
these men’s hands but their
bodies big and boozing
belong to

Marj
the greenslim purse of whose
face opens
on a fatgold

grin
hooray
hoorah for the large
men who lie

between the breasts
of bestial Marj
for the strong men
who

sleep between the legs of Lil

Actually, I looked that up and I'm stumped!
I don't see anything similar, but maybe I just didn't understand it.
Poems like that one often confuse me.

And it wasn't supposed to be funny at all. . I felt it was a really sad poem.
What a wasted life...

Thanks. .

Very nice and I hope your having a great life now as well..
Well... not really.
But I'm OK with my life as is. . I accept how it is and am comfortable with it.

Thanks. .

I just miss romance. . Not so much the sex.
With romance, the sex will happen. . In a loving way. . And that's the only way that appeals to me anymore.

Many (not all) of my poems are on the sad side. I'm sure that I have missed someone wonderful in my life because I'm just too much of a loner.
I'm definitely a closet romantic. All I've ever wanted was someone special. But I was afraid to commit.

Too late. I gave up about 15 years ago, but I'm just fine with that.
In between girlfriends, I've always been pretty much a loner so I'm used to it.

Can relate to that... no real relationship since my divorce last millennium...

And we are pretty cool people anyway!
    Go figure.

Most people here are single, so there's a good chance that many can relate( I think... )

I bet you could. It's pretty easy, really.
You just have to be in the mood for whatever your writing about.

You could say you're all alone...but just think of all the women here who read your blog. It's pretty much the story of my life too....of course they would be men's names.
If I had it all to do again, there's probably one or two that I should have stayed with.

Probably the same with you.

That was the story of my life also, until 2008 when I realized that what I was doing, even though it was by choice, just wasn't healthy for me.

I kind of miss those days but I think (even against my own wishes) that it's better this way.

Oh, I love this one, by the way. I think if I keep reading your stuff I might one day be able to write stuff like this.
That was MY story until I turned 40. Then, my fun life just kinda ended.
I miss those day, too.

I just write simple poems. Nothing fancy. I try not to let it get too complicated.
And you have to be in the right mood for each poem. The poem doesn't HAVE to relate to you, but the mood does.

Thanks for stopping!
