Do The "Boys" Really Think They Have a Chance?


I get numerous emails here and on other dating sites from men (boys) under the age of 30....as low as 18 or 19 years old. Do they really think they will get a positive response from a woman my age? I understand the attraction to older women. We are pretty amazing, generally less demanding, or whiny and lots of fun. The cougar culture is highly exaggerated. We are definitely not all on the prowl for young studs. Most of us want experienced men, not just sexually...life experience. We do not want to teach, as often requested, and as I wrote about in Advice from an Older Woman. Admittedly, I've tried out a few young ones, but that's not what I'm attracted to. I personally think these young guys wouldn't even be after women 15-20-30 years older than them if they could get women closer to their own age.

Of course there are a few exceptions I may consider, but they've got to be pretty special in a multitude of ways...and not just body and sexual ability.

Yes, older women being "appreciative" is about the sexual experience. As far as the younger man's fantasy, I really can't answer except with the biological fact that women's sexual drive peeks at a much older age than men. For most men,its downhill after 21. I try to compensate by experience and foreplay rather than pure sexual hunger.

 I blame it on tv and the movies...lol leave the mature women for us older and more experienced guys.
