Missing You. A Tribute To My Mom 😢
Missing You. A Tribute To My Mom 😢 Today is a day of reflection as I am flooded with memories of my Mother who would have been “92 years” young. Although she has been gone seventeen ‘years’, not a day goes by, that I don't think of her. My mother taught “me” everything, except how “to” live without her. She had a way of understanding my problems without my even having “to” tell her. The beautiful memories of the times we spent together, make ‘me’ smile. There are days, I wish I could have her back, for just a little while. Then we could sit and talk again, just like we used to do. She always meant so much to ‘me’, forever and always will too. I find myself doing a double-take, when I see her image in the mirror....until I realize it is ‘me’, not her, just the way she always knew. |

The relationship we have with our Mother is unlike any other. Never take it for granted.

I agree, my relationship with my own mother was mixed, although in retrospect and having a daughter of my own, I now understand that her "intent" was always in the right place. I too see my mother when I look in the mirror, and for years resented it. Couple of days ago, my own 24 y/o daughter found a picture of the two of us together at the beach back when she was a toddler and I was just 39. She shared it on FB, and captioned it Like Mother, Like Daughter" It gave me the warm fuzzies.

Glad that you have happy memories to look back on.

She sounds like she was a good Mother. My Mother called to let me know my Dad was in the hospital, but they don't think it's serious.

I can totally relate to you as I also lost my mom. She was a beautiful woman she had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. She was 81 when she passed away from AML but was a young 81. She worked for the American Cancer Society for 20 yrs and before that volunteered for 20. She taught me many things in life and if I ever had a problem I could go to her. She was non-judgemental. I miss her very much but I have my memories of her and none can ever take those away from me. May her memory be eternal. Good post my friend!! We have two lives, and the second begins when we realise we have only one - Confucious

Lost my mom several years ago - she took her last breath in my arms. She was strong and brave ... those traits she passed on to me I have found in times of strife. That first instinct to call her still kicks in when I want to share happy news - or sad. I know she's looking down on you, proud of the woman that you have become ... *snuggles* In Luv, Lite, Laffter ...
