The Voice In Your Head

It’s known by different things. Your conscience. Your inner voice. Your gut instinct. Your inner monologue.

Many people use it 'to' guide their decisions; consider their options; weigh the pros and cons; decide what actions 'to' take or words 'to' speak. It can all happen in a split second or much longer.

We all know the other kinds of people. They seem 'to' blurt out the first that comes into their head. They don’t think before they speak. They don’t re-read their email, text or comments before pressing Enter.

Afterwards, when they realize the impact, what do they do? Do they take responsibility? No. They will blame it on their temper or the extra alcoholic beverage they consumed or whatever excuse they devise for their bad behaviour. Or they think simply deleting that email, text or comments will erase the damage.

Remember:

Actions have consequences.

Spoken words cannot be un-heard.

Written words cannot be un-seen.

@The Voice
Sheldon Allan Silverstein was an American writer known for his cartoons, songs, and 's books. His books have been translated into more than '30' languages and have sold more than '20' million copies. He was the recipient of two Grammy Awards, as well as Golden Globe Award and Academy Award nominations.

Over the past half century, I have mellowed a lot, those comments, not only make you look like an ass, but can be expensive, literally. Sometimes one just has to make an ass out of himself to get enough attention to prove a real point. Although one can cut off your nose in spite of it..
As you say we /all should reread, rethink or adjust our attitude before we stand up!!

Good read/post, Thanks
Have a good day, be safe

I try not to speak with anyone. It's working out great.

Nothing much to say.

It sounds like you've been watching our news reports. My inner voice tells me NOT to inject cleaning products to kill off Corona virus.

Often, maturity and life's experiences will temper our reactions. Of course, there will also be others, who will continue to repeat the same bad behaviour and give the same tired excuses.

Bad behaviour exists everywhere. Sadly, for some unknown reason, it seems more tolerated here.

Seems we were thinking similarly with our posts. No one is perfect. Some seem to get away with their bad behaviours more than others so they think it's acceptable. Hope you have a great week!

I was brought up to say it like I mean it. That has both helped and hindered me in life but as long as I'm genuine about it that is all that truly matters.

Life in the Black Hills of South Dakota.

I had a friend that used to type out what she was feeling in a heated moment and email those thoughts to herself. She'd re-read the message the next day and usually change it significantly. She had the benefit of letting her inner voice out without all of the destructive consequences. Some may only have that inner voice to listen to in these strange times we find ourselves.

Stay safe out there sexyldy1000!

I have also heard of people writing down their thoughts and then burning them as a way of ‘letting go’. Today’s world is indeed unlike anything else our generation has experienced. Safety first is the recurring mantra.

You can't unring the bell. Tho, you can learn from it. Sadly, most don't. There are times where I write my emotions, let's me vent for that immediate gratification. After some time has passed, had time to process those feelings.Rarely do I send/say what I had written at first ... *hugs*

In Luv, Lite, Laffter ...

What do you do when you have no talent?
You do what others do here - post re-tread pics stolen off the web and title them with the same old cute titles... day after day.... day after day.... week after week... month after mont... over and over again. How many times have I seen the same pics on others blogs. I just move on. lol...
And then get your minions and little peeps to tell you how good you are.
Oh... and Then you keep bleating about stuff (yesterdays news)...over and over - hoping others give a shit. Nobody but you and few others give a hoot!

What do you do when you have no talent?
Just keep doing whatever it is you're doing. You'll be fine babe!
Everyone here does whatever they do. They don't look for approval from you !

Caught speaking my mind? Sure. No one is permitted to have an opinion opposite to yours, right?

Rude on your blog and others? You’re confused. I’m not rude, just not as expressive as others. I should wax eloquently about whether I want to smash it with more than one word? Lol…
“Stupid ‘one-word’ answers”? How many words would you prefer?

Banned? From 2. One is your friend. I care about neither.

Me? A big fan? I liked your points babe. Everyone uses your blog for THAT. Or did you think it was your brilliant and original content? How many times do you post the same pics? I pay attention, that’s why I get annoyed when you point a finger at others. Just do YOUR thing. Live and let live.

Jacked off to it? Now, you’re really kidding right? FFS I have hi-speed internet (unlike many of your minions) and can stream anything I want. Why would I use your ‘still portraits’ to pull my thing? Hardly worth the effort…

I’m acting like you expect me to. WE don’t understand each other. You’re not playing with rules I respect. Acting? It’s not an act.

What’s with this reference to ‘real man’? Your constant reference to ‘attack’ is an over-exaggeration of another term you should get used to; it’s called ‘disagreeing with your point of view’. Abuse? You’re confusing what that term means in the real world.

It’s not an ATTACK. You should really stop using THAT rhetoric as some sort of shield EVERY time someone disagrees with you.

PLEASE, when you send my comments to the ‘Abuse Department’ - attach these comments as well. Perhaps they’ll be more inclined to - as you say - start banning people for disagreeing with another person’s opinion.

You're funny... and pathetic.
So... you devote TWO blogs to me, yet block me from enjoying them? What's the fun in that?

Just proves my point about who you REALLY are. Vindictive, negative shallow and looking for a life - and one who has absolutely NO sense of humour!
Go for it babe. Knock yourself out. I don't blog anymore. No one cares about your negative rants about others; least of all about me. I've become a statistic on page 5 of former male bloggers. Who cares? lol...

Oh and .... only friends call me Pablo. Stop pretending you are one.

Long ago I used to write down my bad thoughts and burn them the next day. I got to rid myself of vituperative thoughts and words. It came to a time like now that I keep tings to myself or deem the person not worthy of my attitude. And it works very well on here with one exception that I have on Hold
