What I really want for Christmas

What I really want for Christmas Each year, my ask, "Mom, what do you want for Christmas?" It's not trinkets or toasters or other assorted 'things'. I usually say, 'Nothing'. But here's what I really want: I want them to keep coming around. I want them to ask m.e questions. I want them to ask m.e for my advice. I want them to tell m.e their problems no matter how big or small. I want them to tell m.e about their worries, their dreams and their hopes. I want them to share laughter with m.e. To laugh with m.e or laugh at m.e. I want them to be kind to one another and to those around them. I want them to spend their funds making a better life for themselves. I want to see them happy and healthy. They have been giving to m.e throughout the year. What more could I possibly want except for it to continue?  |

This year has been unlike any other. I don't think about what I don't have. I am grateful and blessed to what I do have.

We had a good Christmas day. Our new great grandson was one day shy of being a month old. Ate some, enjoyed family. It did not rain and had some sunshine but brisk North winds.
