How do you stick to your values when things seem stacked against you? [image]

if you are still struggling with feelings from that thing not too long ago..it just means you are still alive and hanging in there !! woop woop

I feel that my character is being challenged just trying to answer this question. I know I've gone through rough parts of life (including a divorce) and I think I've handled it all well. I have no enemies and I have helped others when then they needed someone.

I don't characterize anyone. Judgement is an honour for a higher power. Then again, I'm an easy target — I believe in three chances. And as for being fooled? I imagine I'll continue to be tripped up, at least until I figure them out. Because my heart is forgiving, I'll probably be screwed... more than once. It's happened. all you can do is your best weather it good enough or not if people stand back and watch one struggle do they step in as if you need help or want help that's when the true you shows with our answer

I'm probably not as good as I think I am! But I do try to be a stand up person!

When I feel the pressure of a situation such as when someone is trying to push my buttons, I think BEFORE I respond. It's the advantage of having a "slow boil" temper. I know that I have the capability to tear them apart with my words in person, telephone, or in e-mail (without even swearing) so I choose the path of respect instead. That way, I won't regret the interaction. Then, if that person STILL choses to push me, I can either decide to stand up more firmly or walk away with my head held high.

I like ti think I show my values at all times and stick to what I believe but if I'm honest, I'd be the first one to back down in an angry mob challenging me. Not that they would change me but they would make me walk away and shut up. Which is pretty pitiful!!

I would like to think that I do stand by my values. However, I believe that character, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. I am sure there are people who think I am a responsible human being and there are others that don’t. And I am going to be just fine regardless
