They said the were building a raised house, on the same spot. Just in case it ever floods here again. I agreed to meet the homeowner there last night so that I could see what all this job entails. Upon reaching my destination, after checking the address Twice, I discovered this! -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|-    -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- - |- - |- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- -|- ..........In All Actuality, the Homeowner played it pretty Smartly. If you completely demolish your House you to put in for around $3500 in permits, New Construction, Plumbing and Electrical, Sewage, Water, along with at least two dozen more. They know whatever ones fail are going to not only fuck you ,......but they’ll also expensively hold everything else . More Good Government Bullshit I Say! ...........If However, You leave least One load bearing wall standing, then Anything you build from there is considered an addition, which is subject to far less permits. Almost half as a matter of fact,.........At least seemed to be the Homeowners reasoning,........And Who could Blame Him?..........There ain’t Nothing Wrong with trying to save a little extra now is there! .........Still in All, I can’t help feeling every time I it, it’s like the New House gave Birth to an shitty bungalow, or maybe Shitty bungalow grew a nice new house like a case of the String Warts!........Either Way,........ not Sure, and I honestly cant Tell,........And So,.......Until the Next Time, My Faithful Flock,.........Fear Not,......... the Wicked One, here in Florida, stilts homes are pretty popular as hurricanes beat the coast line pretty hard...some of them have steal beam legs...lol...i tell yah...they are not going anywheare...even after you lost the walls...haha... i am pretty handy, and love DIY...but the building code and permits are sometime, bullshit...well, maybe more for the permits... it's always good to know the workaround...i would say, keep an load bearing wall, save some money...lol...fuck yah... the Fallen Angel 333

here in good old NS my first husband and i lost our house by fire in 1978 ..we wanted to rebuild in the same spot and were told as long as there was a full foundation no additional permits were needed to rebuild ..we didnt need any new building permit ..that was an awesome relief for us...
