In paying it forward, you assuredly made someone's day. And such random acts of *kindness* occasionally spark authentic friendships. Feels like win-win to me. Ice-breaker messages are....well.... the tip of the iceberg. There is enough spam on this site that if almost feels....normal. My profile apparently has been analyzed as vulnerable to TBTBT attractive women who have joined our community to find "true love and a family man". I do sometimes wonder if the profile I composed is the one that everyone else actually sees.

I have the ice breaker gold and never had to send anything on my own, just updated it once or twice over the last 8 years. Mine just automatically renewed last week.

Ice breaker.....hmmm...no need

I've read a few female blogs in the past couple of weeks where ice breaker and gold membership are mentioned in the same blog. The gist being one can renew one's Gold status using an ice breaker. Searching the site's Help Center for ice breaker / icebreaker comes up empty. My questions: 1. Is the ice breaker only available to women? 2. If not, how does one use an ice breaker? 3. Does a person using an ice breaker need special status? i.e. VIP or gold An Internet search showed that an ice breaker on this site is to initiate a conversation.

Yep..this had been around for a long time. I don’t think the option is offered to everyone. You plug in a sentence, and the site supposedly sends it off to ‘possible matches’ you have set.
