It's happened to me again, and I'm getting weary of it. I met someone online (on a different site) and really hit it off with her. We had a lively email exchange then took it to a chat app. I coiuldn't believe my good fortune to connect with someone interesting who also seemed to value my friendship, too.

And then she just disappeared.

After not answering my chats for two days in a row, I logged back on to the website where we met. Gone. I thought she had just blocked me (gosh, not that being blocked has never happened to me before) so I checked with a second account I have on the same website for just this reason - she's gone. Her membership just no longer exists.

No good bye, no message, no explanation. Just gone. Did she get cold feet? Change her mind? Find someone else? Did I scare her away? I have no clue.

She just vanished.
