Another Missing Character or Seven


Has anyone else made note of the fact charac and words tend just vanish from around here?

This makes it tough read when words just out.

Crummy editing software, I take it.

Yes, it's an oldish problem.

It also affects profile copy.

Happens to every story I submit, whether I type it here or cut and paste. Pain in the butt!

One of my favorite magazine authors was plagued by this problem. Towards the end (see next post about "Ghosting" where I talk about him) he even put the disclaimer in the beginning that the site dropped words from his text.

Now it doesn't matter, since all his stories are just...gone.

There are a lot of the bloggers who also post their blog as a comment on their own blog. It doesn't keep the original blog post from suffering word loss, but the comment version seems to stay intact.
