Screwing Wall Street Review

Directed by Kayden Kross & Manuel Ferrara. Released by Evil Angel in 2015.

A story barely exists in this movie. It is an attempt to spoof the film "Wall Street" from 1987. However, without a knowledge of the original source material, this movie would make even less sense. There are short plot scenes that preface the sex scenes. Story Grade: D.

It appears that this movie was shot on digital video. Images are crisp and clear. The quality is decent. Medium Grade: A-.

The sets looked like sets rather than real locations, with the exception of the scene with Kayden and Veronica. The office scenes presumably took place in different buildings in the story; however, they had the same carpeting and color scheme. The office decor also seemed rather bare. Most sex occurred in offices which had glass walls that were not covered which reduced credibility of it happening there. Set Design Grade: C-.

The sexual performances were engaging. It was fairly obvious that Veronica Vain was a newcomer, but it worked in heightening desire. Sexual Performances Grade: A.

Given that the plot building scenes were so brief, there weren't many opportunities for the performers to demonstrate their acting abilities. Some dialogue and actions were stolen directly from "Wall Street" with minor changes. Manuel Ferrara should have spoken French exclusively since his moment speaking French the most authentic part of his performance. Dialogue sounded stilted. Stoya perhaps did the best acting. Characters used the names of the performers playing them, which was slightly annoying and took away from what story there was. Acting Grade: C-.

The wardrobe and make-up seemed fairly appropriate for the characters. Wardrobe/Make-up Grade: A.

The lighting seemed a little to bright at times. There was a time during the final sex scene during which inexplicable shadows appeared on the wall. Lighting Grade: B+.

Background noise could be heard during Stoya and Veronica's sex scene. The set sounded cavernous at times. There was no music during sex scenes. Sound Grade: C.

The exotic dancing scene would have made more sense had it preceded the Kayden and Veronica sex scene. As it stands, there is no dialogue between the two characters prior to them having sex. There is only a montage of drinking glasses suggesting they have a conversation over drinks. The sex scenes get a little long. Directing Grade: B-.

This is a shameless plug for Arrangement Finders.com. That company provided funding for the production of this movie. There were a few shots of Veronica in real locations in New York City, but these were generally limited to montages. The movie would have been more lively had more real locations been utilized. The credits were bland. More thought could have been given to the plot to make it more real. Artistic Merit Grade: C+.

Overall Grade: B-.
