I'm pretty sure I'm missing out on some discounts, because I'm in denial about the title I hold.
I wonder if my grocer has a senior's discount?
Thanks for the reminder. 👍😎❗❗

An excellent educational post, Joy. I also don't think of you as a senior. I mainly think of you as as an active, flirtatious, and hard-working woman, among many other qualities.

That Rod Stewart song is a fav of mine. Here are different lyrics for a song of the same title by Alphaville:

Let's dance in style, let's dance for a while
Heaven can wait we're only watching the skies
Hoping for the best, but expecting the worst
Are you gonna drop the bomb or not?

Let us die young or let us live forever
We don't have the power, but we never say never
Sitting in a sandpit, life is a short trip
The music's for the sad man

Can you imagine when this race is won?
Turn our golden the faces into the sun
Praising our leaders, we're getting in tune
The music's played by the, the madman

Forever young
I want to be forever young
Do you really want to live forever?
Forever, and ever

Forever young
I want to be forever young
Do you really want to live forever?
Forever young

Some are like water, some are like the heat
Some are a melody and some are the beat
Sooner or later they all will be gone
Why don't they stay young?

It's so hard to get old without a cause
I don't want to perish like a fading horse
Youth's like diamonds in the sun
And diamonds are forever

So many adventures given up today
So many songs we forgot to play
So many dreams swinging out of the blue
Oh let it come true

Forever young
I want to be forever young
Do you really want to live forever
Forever, and ever?

Forever young
I want to be forever young
Do you really want to live forever
Forever, and ever?

Forever young
I want to be forever young
Do you really want to live forever
Forever young

Songwriters: Bernhard Lloyd / Frank Mertens / Marian Gold

Very well written, and in total agreement, now if only we could get those young bucks in parliament to recognize that the oas and cpp need an upgrade so us older persons can stay safe and sexy in our own homes it would be a miracle of magical minstrations.

Ms. author51,

It is strange how other countries respect and revere their older people/ elders, while here in the U.S. we are and tend to be forgotten about by the younger generations. They are trying to push us out of the work force, and saying that we are taking too much of the resources they need.

Many of us have adapted to the technologies that are here today, as we grew with them as they grew. We have the knowledge of being able to function with out the tech, and to use the tech.
While I do fall into the category of being a "senior", I neither feel or look my age, other than my grey beard. I am still active but not like I was 20 years ago, even though my mind says I can do it, the body will not allow it, at times.

Maybe one day I will slow down, but that is still a few years away. Till then I will just keep on truckin'. I refuse to age without a fight.

"The age is in your brain" it's a sentence than can be heard again and again, but that's not true... The age is in your body, I can't move as when I was 20, I can't see as when I was 20... because my body has changed, and my mind has changed too. We must to know and accept that we have changed, and find a new way to make that things, when I was 20, for making a job, I used a lot of energy, and now, I use my brain, and less energy...
My actual job is training people to use different kinds of machinnery, and I know a los of that machines because I've toched a lot of them... because I've lived!! In 10, 15 or 20 years... I'll be a senior trainer... and I'll speak about machines that my students probably haven't heard to speak about...

The life is a way, and when that way is full of life, you 'll see it in the eyes of that person... as I can see in yours... nice and interesting...
