Glad that you were able to fix the heat with only a new t'stat. That is an easy DIY fix.
The only extended heat outage for me was about 24 hrs after an ice storm. Outside temps were in the upper 20'sF and the house dropped to about 45.

That same storm destroyed miles of power lines 30 miles west of here, and it took a week to restore power to all - some of the fixes were temporary until the weather was better.

Hopefully you won't need the heater much longer. Take care and all the best.

Cry it out. Ugly cry if you have to.
Been there in some form or fashion. I feel your pain.
Here’s hoping for a better February and maybe the bad sh*t is out of the way for now.

Have a great day! 💋

Four years ago, I was out of my house for extended periods of time and, on the coldest day of that winter, my thermostat quit. I didn't find it for a week. In that time, the hot water hose to my kitchen sink burst. I walked into an indoor rain shower. Had to gut the kitchen and bathroom. All this to say, I know your pain. Keep a BFH around for such emergencies.

Smart as a horse and hung like Einstein.

welcome back Ginger, good to hear from you! Sorry for your woes, but as you're one of the strongest people that I know... I know that you can overcome!

Sending big hugs to you.
I wish I could say I understand your pain, but I kmow everyone's pain is different. I do know that every once in a while it will bubble up again. In those times I hope that you will turn to your friends for comfort before it get to the point of a meltdown. We all love you and care about your struggles.

There is nothing like a warm hug, unless perhaps it is a warm wet hug. "...be kind to yourself and others...."
