To blog or not to blog?
To blog or not to blog? I have decided to start a blogging (inspired by a lovely member) about my time here on TSdates.com. I am hoping to answer questions that I get asked over and over (sometimes by the same people), post ridiculous emails I receive and some replies, my thoughts on several subjects, member profiles and anything else that comes to mind. Hoping people actually read (seems to be a less used attribute on this site) to get the answers to the most common questions asked of me. I understand this is a public forum and would happy to address questions received but remember, this is my blog. I reserve the right to choose not to answer or acknowledge. I am pretty confident that there will be quite a few derogatory comments and remarks. I will gladly leave your posts up as you have the right to your opinion. Remember, though, this is a public forum, people will perceive and make assumptions based on your posts as I am guessing you have initially to trigger a response to mine. I gather the question remains, what do you all think? Keep the blog or ditch the blog? |

Thank you, gentlemen. As expected, with this experiment, not a great response. The main reason being, I believe is that people just don't want to read. I gather on dating sites in general, that would be the landscape. Pictures first, email (without reading profile), response (if any) stating, "obviously, you haven't read my profile", nasty letter in return calling me various names with accusations. That's 99% of my time spent here on TSdates.com. Men, women and couples alike! I was gooing to do a "poll" and just ask 2 basic questions, 1. "Do you read profiles and respond accordingly?", or 2. "Do you look at the pictures and tend to reply accordingly?". Then I figured, what's the sense? I already knew the answer to my own question. Oh, how wonderful it is to be a (single) girl on a dating site! So for those of you who do read, What topic would you like to discuss next? --Letters from single men? --Letters from (not so) single women? --Letters from couples? I wanted to keep each gender blog separate so I may add to it. Thoughts? -Miss C D. [image]

Keep blogging! I can't believe you haven't blogged about some goofy, semi-crazy (although not certified), male half of a couple that sends spoofs of your photos back to Me CD.

Well I'm new to the whole blog thing but from what I see no one gave you an answer, so I say not so single women, there's my vote. as for not reading the profile, i cant see why you would pass up reading it???? anyone that is a semi serious person is going to take a little time and type out what he or she is looking for. sure looks count and the pictures are often the hook that grabs someone, but if there is no substance then what are you really looking at, you can have some smoking hot pics and find a one sentence profile and you know that it's nothing serious, a lady with "wants cock and lots of it" as her profile is a losing proposition from every angle. you know that if you were to email miss hot pics and one line profile. shes not really looking at who is emailing her, and she's definatly not reading the 8 gazillion one line emails from MR. "I got a cock" that has replied to her. if you want to make some of thing out of this site then you're going to get out what you put in, and yes there are some exceptions to that, but the real people and the smart ones are reading and making decisions based on what they read and the more quality info that you put out there the better your chances are that you may meet one of the real people that you are searching for, not just the "spam bot" replies that fill our mailboxes. nice post, I'll have to figure out how to follow this, I'll be interested to see where it goes. now I'll get down off my soap box. I think that blogging can allow someone an opportunity to share their perspective on a particular topic / subject. The challenge, as I'm sure you've discovered, is to fine those rare few who can reply in a manner that's not only germane to the subject - but also provides a response that is "worth reading." This site tends to lend itself, in my opinion, to a few topics - and, most of those topics- like the conversation - rarely provides much thought, or insight. That being said - isn't it refreshing when you DO receive a comment / blog entry - that stimulates some thought - that shares a different view - that actually creates some interest. So - I'd suggest introducing a topic that you enjoy - and, seeing what, if any, contributors ADD to the discussion. It might be a surprising result. After all, you don't need thousands of replies - just a few thought provoking, intelligent ones.
