How was my day?

How was my day? It was Boss #1's birthday today.... And, while he says he doesn't want everyone to make a big deal about it... What he actually means is, make it a big deal!!! So, we ended up getting him a cake and presented it in the afternoon meeting. The cake decorator did a fantastic job, she was able to incorporate a motorcycle, a beach scene, and oreos all in one cake! All his fave's..... Although, I have to say, I did find the sight of him licking frosting off the tires of the toy motorcycle from his cake a little unsettling. How many people touched that motorcycle before it found itself atop his cake?!? And, should a grown man really be licking toys in public?!? Food for though.... |

In reading your comments, I realize, my post was merely my own random thoughts said aloud, and unless you work with Boss #1, the irony is lost. It is a facet of himself, a part of his charm, but Boss #1 is a fairly uptight, anal retentive, perfectionist. He worries about wearing dark pants at work because he doesn't want to brush up against anything that would transfer lint or dust. His appearance and behavior are always the image of perfection.... So, to see him eating all the frosting from the props on his cake and knowing the type of germaphobe he is, it was kind of surprising to me. Noteworthy....

Hi secret_lade thanks for sharing this birthday celebration story there's a place in Plano "Natalie Bakery" where they make the most interesting cakes and desserts ever Whether it is Black Forest; fruit; without eggs; with eggs; any which way you want it They are not cheap, but, they are tasty and so cool One time, one of our stakeholders was moving to another project and me and co-worker put our heads together 2 get him a going away cake I had them take a picture of one of their company checks with "Pay to the order of" "His Name" the sum of 1 Million dollars, signed Mickey Mouse they then created a replica of the check, edible and put it on the top of a scrumptious cake he flipped out I couldn't even believe how real the check looked the things we put in our mouths without even thinking ewwww, sometimes we stick are tongues in places... just sayin' reminded me of this Danielle Bradbery - "My Day" Like a lotus flower growing in the dirt Ain't nobody ever noticed what its worth Til the sun shines and the rain falls and In no time it all is beautiful This is my day, this is my day Ohhhh, wont let it slip away Oh, waiting for these changes to say, this is my day There's a voice inside that's trying to be heard, hmmm And its echoing across the universe If you listen it'll lead you to that place you've always been running to

I feel for you, I used to have to attend those "meetings" sometimes enough to make yo sick. but all one can do is Smile and go about normal..

Toy motorcycle licking from his own b-day cake concerns you ?? Maybe he collects toy motorcycles? Or maybe the thought of someone going to all the trouble to produce a b-day cake with all his fave themes was so moving her wanted to preserve something to remind him of the memory? Guys can be kids sometimes, I think he was just being a kid right then. Reading an oral fixation into this is absurd! If the germs on a toy motorcycle concern you, then how about the icing of the cake it was sitting on? germs transfer, and in all that sugar multiply quickly! If you had some of that cake, Maybe you need to be checked out at the ER?

Well if your that worried about him licking it the same people that touched it before was in the iceing of the cake any way people are it. But your right about licking the icing is childish depend how he licked it too.

Hmmm... scary 😮 Did they serve drinks... or go out later? 🤔 Anyway.. germs die in the mouth and stomach after 15 seconds. Otherwise.. oral sex would be a real bacterial count. 🤔 There's worse things to put into your mouth than a toy tire. Or is there?
