I have never received a gift that meant so much to me, ever. The ex husband would buy me expensive stuff, but it wasn't out of love. It was because the family needed it. I can't really say I ever cried tears of joy over receiving a new utility sink for the laundry room...

And, yes, that was indeed a Mother's Day gift one year, after which we went fishing.

Call me crazy, but, I don't think any part of that was for my benefit.

I can only hope this is a stage they will all outgrow. My daughter is so smart... Her GPA right now is 3.98 but her street smarts is nil. She can operate an iphone and dink around with the 9 million apps she dinks around with daily but cried when she couldn't figure out how to use the Keurig to make a cup of hot cocoa.

Never?? You are totally missing out! Country Singers on the covers of the food magazines are my favorite to critique... Trisha Yearwood is on the cover of something this month and I swear they photo shopped someone else's smile on her. She looks like a Picasso...
