Tuesday night with the Spawn.

Tuesday night with the Spawn. "Why is there a CapriSun juice thing in the shower??" "I was thirsty." "Did you take a shower? You were thirsty in the shower??" "Yah. My goldfish crackers were salty." What alternate universe have I stumbled into..... "Ok. Let me get this straight. You were in the shower eating goldfish crackers and drinking juice. Why??" "Duh!! It was an after school snack mom, I was hungry!" Snatching the empty juice package out of my hand, she turned on her<b> heel </font></b>and huffed down the hall to throw it out. Just when I think I've seen it all..... Bam!! Shower snacking! |

 I reckon you've stumbled upon the latest craze to sweep the youth there McLade. Next thing ye know it'll be popcorn and movies on a massage sofa!

Thank you for entertaining us with stories of your Spawn. If I were to guess, I would say that she was eating her Goldfish before she reached the shower, and was just about finished with the juice when she showered.

"Just when I think I've seen it all....." I thought the same when daughter was about 5 or 6 years old and this happened ; I arrived home late night as usual from work . We had a 10 gal. fish tank in her room with a light that she liked as a night light . As I crept past , I glanced in and noticed that tank water looked cloudy  I stepped in for a closer look , wondering what in the world was going on I saw a Mini Powdered Doughnut floating in the tank  Wife had woke-up and as she stepped to the door ; the daughter woke- up  Daughter looked at tank and said , " I thought they looked hungry; so I fed them ! "

I see this every day. It's the pissy attitude that gets me. How dare I point out their laziness!!!! "Mom... I'm hungry, what's for dinner?" "Oh My God Spawn! I *literally* just made dinner last night! Uuuuugh!" [Rolling eyes and turning on my heel.] She did not like it.

They are a busy bunch, with all the multi-tasking and all!!!! Kids life is soo tough!!!

Maybe you could invent something for this, like accoutrements for the shower. A little shower shelf with suction cups to hold your snack, or maybe a snack hammock for your juice box. The sky's the limit here.
