Allergy Eyes

I decided trek out yesterday....

And found myself Lake Michigan. It's kind of funny how it's always calling back, how the sound of the water and the feel of the sand beneath my feet is so soothing, relaxing.

I'm amazed at how much the beach can change from year year.... Water levels raising, lowering, beach, no beach.

It takes a while take it in, see the sights, and marvel over the changes.

Enough time that it affected my allergies, apparently.

I woke this morning with swollen, puffy eyes and I look like death warmed over.

Yikes!

I can say is, Benadryl, work your magic!

looks like I nice place to be alone.
to get away from the real world
to walk and see no one
but your foot steps in the sand
    keep it to yourself
don't let anyone spoil it for you.

It is a nice place to be alone... It feels good to be around nature again. I know it wasn't a long winter and it was mild in comparison to others, but it still feels good to be able to get out and do stuff again.

Gotta love all the pollen and mold this time of year! Definitely plays hell with allergies. A couple of weeks ago I woke one morning and my left eye was almost solid red and very swollen. Had to take my contact out, scoured it and left it out for 2 days to let my eye get back to normal. Ugh.... And the sniffles. When will they stop? Yup...love green growy things!
My eyes don't normally get this bad, but they were pretty itchy yesterday. I overdid it at the shore, I'm certain, I was out there trekking around for about 4 hours. The fog was rolling off the lake when I first got there, it look like clouds sitting along the shore line.... The sun was still out at that point and I was walking in clouds.

Well thank you. I'm a lil scary looking today, thought. The Benadryl has NOT worked any magic and I kinda look like I've gone a few rounds in a cage match. Red, puffy eyes are not a good look on me.

I took a ton of pictures.... This stretch of beach was my favorite. It had been under water for the past couple of years, it was good to see it back.

If I could, I would live by the water.... I just love it.

Looks like a beautiful wander McLade. I love being near water, there's something mesmerising about it.
I spent a couple of hours wandering the shoreline.... It's really changed this year. The water levels are lower and the sand bars are much closer to shore. I can't believe all the rock that's along the shore now. It's very pretty.

Damn! I guess we have different ideas of the word "beach". Mine doesn't have rocks like that.
That's only one section of the bay.... you have to hike a ways to get to it. This was all under a few feet of water last year, you couldn't even see stones, they were buried in sand.
