He had tried
to find
his courage
his will
at the bottom
of a bottle
at the end
of a long
hard day
he had found himself
wondering
wandering
through life
lost
confused
bewildered
with a teardrop
in his eyes
that blurred
his vision
left him upset
with how
it was going
this thing
he had called
a life
he had tripped
over himself
lost his balance
in the middle
of it all
it was at
the bottom
of a bottle
at the end
of another day
something he had inhaled
had sniffed into his brain
something he had tried
to put into himself
happiness
but it failed
