Relationship experts ..what do they know!

How relationship experts define the word " soulmate" .These experts in love matters or matters of the heart give their thoughts about the " soulmate" connection.
The concept of the word " soulmate" can be a polarized one depending on how the term is defined. Ultimately its a very romantic idea that there can be one and only one ideal match for each of us out there in the real world. Someone you have a strong connection with. who gives you a sense of inner peace and rightness and yet challenges you to grow and be the best version of yourself, its very easy to buy into the concept.I personally am no expert on the matter but do not believe in the concept of a soul mate , mirror image if you will.Being native American we do have our beliefs in what is defined as a picture perfect person of who we think is our soulmate , match for match..
A soulmate relationship is one where you connect with another person easily and instantly . but doesn't come without effort and trials.Alot of people believe this to be the ultimate term for soulmate , a picture perfect mirror image of who we are...but does it mean that we are in love with ourselves ? No it just means that we have on all levels the same likes and dislikes, the same interests and overall view of the perfect life.So if someone is the type of person who is a pessimist , not a morning person, someone who only likes and eats certain kinds of foods and doesn't see his or herself as an individual, how do the soulmates live with one another ? .hmmm..thats kind of a touchy subject. be a lot of turmoil and drama.
The term is a very misused and misunderstood word and its never going to define us as we are trying to make a connection with someone who is totally like we are.I wouldn't want to live with me on a daily basis , I have good days and bad days and would be in a constant state of numbness knowing that the other me is going to have the same days as I do...Not everyone has a soulmate but when they find a person that they totally fall in love with and have individuality that would seem to be a better union and would I call that union a definition of soulmate? Absolutely not I would define it a true love.
Relationship experts can tell people what they think they want to hear because the word soulmate has been around for so many years and pounded into our brains we tend to believe that experts know everything ..lol

Soul mates ..does the word soulmate really exist ?

I sometimes refer to my wife as my soulmate, but I really don't believe there is just one person who is right for us in the whole world. I think each of us has other very close matches, but it is hard to find one that is so close we describe them as a soulmate.

people rarely find what the feel is true love and if you say what is true and I believe you then you had something rare but rest assured that will come again some day as something different..I had a cat that I considered a soulmate , yes animals are also considered a soulmate more so than humans define it..i cant explain it now but it also is a rare occurance..

A true story:
Once I had a soulmate (I thought I had)....but on 1st of April 2004, she told me completely unexpectately, no signs before or whatsoever...totaly out of the blue.. I am leaving you and will not come back...it's not your fault (!!!).....I cared about her for 30 years of marriage. That time I was 52 yrs and she remarried later a guy of 75 yrs!!!! It did broke me mentally completely...could not work for over a year...the pain was too much..had to come back step by step at work due to lost energy. I also lost faith in people concerning to friendships or relationships.....So for some years on I felt (in a way) living happily alone.....just by myself.
Now , 15 years later, I have met a very lovely woman, kind, sincere, caring, warm, big heart and mind....she gives me back what was lost during 15 years of loneliness and missing love................................... .

wow I am so sorry to hear someone broke your heart so terribly I think if you are lucky enough to connect with someone and instantly click and talk to them as if you have known them for a very long time that would be my definition of deep friendship ..not soulmates as we are led to believe its a very controversial meaning of different words , feelings , emotional rollercoaster ride but as I stated in my blog I am native American and we have our own interpretation of the word " soulmate" its complex to those who don't understand the explaination but its what I believe ...I am glad things worked out for you bravo!

Paul you are truly a delight and some woman is going to be very lucky who falls for you..caution as to who is worthy of your heart ..Not everyone who claims they work hard to win someones space and heart is always worthy ...

thank you and I feel the same way its a matter of convienence nothing more for some people if people thought and was convinced that a soul mate existed then they would not settle but keep on looking and not everyone has a soul mate its just what we are led to believe because of the misuse of the word..but then again what else would it be called?

that's true and we have become so conditioned to the misuse of certain words as we were taught to believe..Friends, lovers , whatever defines whet we believe to be soul mate is the only word we actually know to relate to how we feel about someone who completes us..safe week hon...its snowing here again..lol three days in a row. " lord give me strength " .
