Be right as rain soon. Left work a half an hour early yesterday...as it was I was the last one out. The PM. left at noon, my boss around eleven I think? Came home and turned on the heater again. I couldn't shake the chills, got out the heating pad and pulled the quilt off my bed and just curled up on the couch. It felt good getting warm, the aches and pains slowly going away as the heating pad did it's magic. Dinner was oatmeal, strawberries and cream oatmeal to be exact. Along with a couple of slices of toast. I really didn't feel like eating, nor cooking for that matter, but figured I should eat something. By eight o'clock I was ready for bed. I actually had a good sleep...though I woke up at one thirty in a cold sweat. But I seem to be on the mend.

I'll be working today, and tomorrow as well. No long weekend for me, but on the bright side I'll have Monday off. So that's a plus. It looks like it be a wet and rainy holiday weekend here, that's usually the case, last Monday the temps. were hovering in the upper eighties and sun shine this Monday we'll have to turn our home heaters back on to take the chill off.

I'd like to take a moment to thank all the men and women who served in the armed forces this Memorial Day weekend, and a special thanks to those who never came home from their service. My father a vet, served in the second world war. He would often admonish those who called him a hero ( he was awarded a purple heart ) He'd say that he wasn't a hero, that he was just doing his duty. The real hero's he'd say were the men and women who didn't come home. To them we owed so much more than we could repay. So, my friends as you enjoy your holiday weekend please raise a glass or bow your head and thank those who served. For we would not be free if it hadn't been for their sacrifice.

Time for me to hop into the shower now....

Good grief you are working while recovering from your immunization!?! Your boss should have given you a few days off. Tylenol might help with the fever. Rest would help you most of all. Take care of yourself as best you can. Hugs!!

Yes, I believe that you got to work to eat, and you got to eat to live..so. As for my boss giving me time off, yeah he went easy on me one Friday work load wise, knowing I felt like crap on a cracker. Other than that he doesn't have the power to grant me paid leave. The owners that do have that power could not care less how I'm feeling on any given day. When the pandemic first started and things were shutting down, people going on unemployment we were given the option of doing so as well, but with conditions. If we signed up for unemployment we'd lose our "discount" on monthly rent and would have had to pay full price. And we'd lose our insurance benefits as well. Which meant if we got the "bug" and had to... God forbid... go to the hospital we'd be up the creek without a paddle. Yeah no, getting time off because I got the shot was never an option with these guys. Money is the only thing they care about, and if I'm not here on a daily basis busting my butt some how they think they are getting short changed.

I'd love to take a Tylenol, or two for that matter. But with the High Blood pressure medication I'm on I can't take it. It doesn't react well with it. The Fever, is/was slight. I've been following the advise of the pharmacy, resting when I can ( slept most of the day away yesterday after working ) and hydrating. Thanks for the hugs Pony! Have a good one my sexy friend!
