Set to move in on Saturday. The unit directly above mine has been rented. The old tenants in that unit were evicted.. Not paying rent, and over use of a certain herb that stank the building up something awful is what got them ousted. A couple of tenants who had moved into the unit next to mine stayed only a couple of weeks, they moved out because of the smell from the tenants up stairs. Any who when the up stairs bunch finally got the boot, they of course trashed the place before they left, and left most of the heavy stuff behind. Couches, a mattress, weight lifting equipment, a heavy bag for boxing...and a rather large fish tank. With a fish in it still. When cleaning the unit I had taken all the small trash and things out...the big stuff I usually leave behind till I can get some help from one of the other guys to move it. Well with the place being rented the stuff needed taken out. That was my work assignment for yesterday morning. I managed to get the smaller things in the big department out the back door and thrown off the deck. The fish tank, mattress, and large couch I held off on till the other guys joined me in the unit. When they arrived the rest of the stuff went over the side of the deck. All but the fish tank, one guy wanted it. So proceeded to empty the water from it, using a shop vac. Yeah, filled the vacuum in record time, overflowed it in fact all over the bedroom carpeting. Well how that fish did it ( lived for a month with no food ) I'll never know? But he was still in that tank. Swimming about happy as a lark. We managed to catch him in a jar and the guy taking the tank will take him home and put him back in said tank after he cleans it up. After that I was sent over to pull carpeting from that hoarder unit I did a few months back. Even after a few months the place still smelled to high heaven. By the time I finished that job it was time to re clean the laundry and gym area. Not an easy day, not really a lot to do but all the things I did do were involved.

I'm feeling better this morning, the stomach doesn't feel all icky like yesterday. Maybe because I slept well last night? Keeping the bedroom door closed instead of open like I usually do, it made the room warmer. Don't get me wrong, I still woke up sore today like usual, but I feel more rested somehow because of the warmer room last night.

Any who... I think I'll hop into my shower now.....

Sometimes I swear you and I lived in the same apartment building. My nextdoor neighbor use to constantly complain about the people above her and how it sounded like elephants walking around in the middle of the night. They eventually were evicted and I remember watching these guys carrying out massive weight lifting equipment. I always felt sorry for our maintenance people and the messes they had to deal with.

I guess things are the same all over? But for the most part the tenants around here are good ones, it's just the few bad apples we get from time to time that spoil things for everybody else. Have a good one.

You sure don't need to go to the gym when you do the job you do! Every day is some form of workout: snow shoveling, sweeping and mopping, cleaning out the crap tenants leave behind, pulling up carpeting, plus more. Then there's the maintenance side of things I'm guessing you also have to deal with: water heaters leaking, water heaters needing replacing, furnace filters regularly replaced, air conditioning units needing servicing... you are definitely a busy man!

Once the guy gets the fish tank cleaned and the surviving fish acclimated, we're going to need pictures of the fish. Multiple pictures, really. The fish can become our mascot here on TSdates.com: Adult Fish Finder.

No I don't really need a gym. With such a workout every day you think I'd be some buff looking guy. But like most guys my age I could stand to lose a pound or two, or three. I think the guy took his fish home yesterday? So, no pics of the little guy. Have a good one De.

I'm so glad you are feeling better! I can't believe people leave so much big stuff behind. Weight lifting equipment, furniture - its all expensive. I've never felt so rich that I could just discard big ticket items.

I don't get how they can do it either? Though most of the time the furniture that gets left is worse than stuff you find sitting at the side of the road waiting for the trash man to pick it up. Big reason why it gets left behind in the first place. Have a good one Pony!
