As far as I know the carpet installer never showed up to start laying down the new carpet in that unit upstairs. I can get in there and spruce it up all I want but no carpeting will really tick off the new tenants I'm sure. Oh well, I don't get paid to fret about those problems. Sometimes it's good not to be the boss.

Easy day yesterday, well easier for me in the sense I didn't have to bust my buns. That doesn't happen very often around here. The weather warmed up quite nicely, we got to forty -one degrees by mid day. Lots of melting snow and water run off. Which you might think is a good thing? Yeah...no. With all that water and the storm grates packed in with snow all that excess run off had no place to run off to. Then when the temps dropped again last night after the sun went down, you know all that water refroze out there where it was standing. Turning the streets and sidewalks into an ice skating rink. Good thing I learned to Ice Skate eons ago. Starting off on those double bladed skates. I basically walked around that big ring in a circle holding on to the wall. Taking small steps as not to fall on my butt while my older sister and her friends zoomed by me at lightening speed. Stopping every so often to see if I was doing okay, if I was cold, or wanted to go sit down in front of the big fire place in the snack bar in the rinks lounge? I was good...feeling proud of myself that I cold "skate " all on my lonesome and manage to eventually make it back to my starting point and the exit off the ice. I eventually did learn how to really skate, after a few years in going skating and made it out on to the center ice away from the support of the walls to hold me up. I never did learn how to skate backwards.. that feat always seemed to elude me. When ever trying I'd usually end up flat on my back like a turtle struggling to right itself.

Any who, trips down memory lane aside. I ended my day posting notices for the office. Yep it's that time of the month. Late rent notices needed to go out. Funny I remarked to the PM as I was leaving the office with the notices, that it always seems to be the same tenants that I'm posting those notices to. You figure after the first dozen times of getting a notice that they would try and make an effort to get their rent in on time? It would save me the hassle of posting the notices on their door every month that's for sure. though it's an easy task, walking up and down stairs to do so all over the property can get tiresome.

Well, it's time for me to hop into my shower now......

" trips down memory lane " Thanks for that !!! I remember maybe half a dozen times using figure skates and digging toe into the ice and falling 😲A friend that I skated with got me to try hockey skates and a whole new world opened up of speed and learning to skate the entire rink going backwards 😄 Even went so far as playing some hockey 🙂 Big change possibly coming here as we are suppose to see our first time of temperature breaking 50 😁🤠

I never used Hockey skates. Always preferring the figure skates myself. Using the toe to dig in to stop or start myself just seemed easier to me. Have a good one Cowboy.

Yeah, I'm sort of looking forward to not having to run it myself. But that at least seven more years away. Have a good one Lt.

I'm glad your day went well. Hopefully the carpet guy will pull off a miracle.
Hugs!
