The Art of Conversation What is going on with the chatrooms these days?? Go in one chatroom are several people in the room, no one is chatting. Go into another chatroom and nothing but drama and calling. What has happened the art of conversation? Have we forgotten how have a conversation with our fellow human beings? We seem focus on the negative these days instead of just having a nice conversation about random things. My thought is...why go into a chatroom if your not chat? Why just sit and stare at your screen? Why go into a chatroom to be rude and ? I myself go into a chatroom to have conversations, not or cause drama, just chat! This is just my opinion. If your gonna hate on my post...feel free...I know how iggy people! LOL |

Some / many chatrooms have been that way for as long as I have been here. I don't bother with them any longer. When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

Think a lot of the vibe depends on if the room is a good mix of humour & decent topics to yak about. If it's just a bunch of guys hovering all over the few women who are there then it gets a bit one sided. I will wholeheartedly agree with you about the lost art of conversation which is a crying shame. Would point a finger at one cause being so many spend more time online talking or browsing where they are in a safe space & often don't suffer any consequences for being rude or disrespectful. Much easier to be a complete tosser & say things that you would never utter in public around a group of complete strangers.

hello lovely Ginger, hi sweet Granny to the topic here, your questions, that Is easy to respond, easy to explain, but, for that I must write naturally more, okay !? first of all, Internet is only a " mirror " from the real world, and same so like there, you can see here pure egoism, hateful souls and minds, absolutely no feelings, emotions or understanding, care for and about the humans around then, and I am sure that I tell no " new " things now, especially not for experienced member, who are some years active here ... ... you see a lot of fakes, or people who wish only to play mind games, searching her personal kind of entertainment, or others to use only, they wish only attention by following reason, hope to find others who pay for them ( that are the commercial scam profiles or professional sex workers, webcam girls etc. ) and the rest, sorry, no offend, but, that are the people who want only to chat, they never would like really to meet others in reality, and this group don't deserve it better ( is only my opinion ) I am now here - naturally with breaks between - since a lot of years, I was having also the rare luck to meet others even in reality, include a relationship which I was having by this for some years, and I saw always again, when I come back here sometimes, how all is become more and more negative the most of time, especially now, here I ask myself, is that a " adult " site, or I am here under children, only talking with bored housewifes who want nothing than waste her free time, and that is - unfortunately - the truth this kind of an " art of conversation " here you describe, and you wish, is in the meantime become absolutely hopeless, even when you find a person with brain, with real character and personality, really soon you will find out, that they are not willing to talk serious ( and that is sad, because they would if they want, they are not unable for ) and what I mostly regret is, they want also no real conversation - that would be for me, about cam to cam, face to face, with eye contact and by using the voice, with audio, they only wish to type any nonsense that was in former times not so, naturally also a little bit, but, never so permanent how it is now the case, so you know already, they would never meet anybody also in reality ( because, if a person really interested in to meet a other, it is normal to wish to see them before, to talk with them personal, by phone and above all by cam, so you see, are they real and the face from the another ) okay, - I hope I have write all correct, sorry, english is not my native language, I am german, smile and ps. yes, also we german folks have humor, even a lot of them I write that only, because, I think first, before I judge others so easy

Thanks for your posts people! I have tired repeatedly to get conversations going in the chatrooms, sometimes it goes well, however most times it does not. Maybe one day people will miss the art of conversation enough to bring it back!! Stay safe!

always a pleasure, no problem, dear Ginger but, what you not have understand, how it seems now, was this " art of conversation " you have describe here was never existing here you can find - with luck - a informative and interesting talk sometimes and - maybe, only really rare in the meantime - here you can find a sexy flirt ideal conversation would be only possible by cam to cam, face to face, eye contact, and above all when both sides use there voice, have active audio all other, is unrealistic and hopeless here, and believe me, I know from what I talk by experiences since 2008, here, with breaks and also on other sites

I don't think the art of conversation has anything to do with cam to cam, face to face. How come people can carry on a conversation via text with someone, yet cannot do that via a chatroom? My opinion is that people have forgotten how to talk to people they don't know. That is just my opinion.
