Actually, we are all "real" women, just with different motives for being on here. Unless it's a man posing as a woman, which I hear happens, but I don't quite get that motive either.

I wonder sometimes if I'm here just for validation myself. NO I'm not married, and yes I want to meet. But the b/s of jumping though hoops talking to someone, trying to set up a casual safe meet, keeping things real as far as no expectations, sometimes makes not meeting an easier option. Yes my profile is worded as I'm just looking for social interaction between the members on here. I changed it after the first couple of months of looking for a specific relationship/person after having an inbox overflowing with crude pick up lines. Not that changing the wording made any difference in the crude offers, but at least I can justfy to myself why I don't respond to 90 percent of the emails I recieve. I've met a few people from the site over the last 4 years I've been on here though, some of them even could be considered successful meets. I also sometimes end up with a connection with someone that I know I will never meet in person. And I've come to realize that's OK.

No matter what's on our profile, or the other person's profile, in the end it comes down to communicating and being honest and open after taking your interactions to private, either through emails or IM.

I agree that the introduction part of the profile is too small, but then I read profiles, unlike many on here. Unfortunately, I can only see the first few words of a profile as a standard member because only seeing a few words can lead to confusion. For instance, when I read your post I thought it sounded like you were single but then I checked your profile and it looks like you're married. I think they should make the entire introduction available to standard members.

Elevate me...

Soooo, think I would fall into the justification column of your categories. Except, like Lust4Life, I have met folks for real on here; I do have the backbone to meet. I have the same yearnings for a relationship/friendship that you wrote here, even though I am married. But unfortunately, most men I meet are wanting the sexual part of it only. Few ever say, "Hey, let's go boating" or "meet me to hear some music", or "let's get out of town". So, also like Lust4Life, I don't respond to the hard line crude emails. In fact I wonder how effective that approach has been for them?

Looks and other details matter, but more than anything I'm interested in understanding how the other person communicates. It can be a short profile, as long as there's nothing that puts me off, or is a red flag.
Sometimes if the profile text is too wordy, that can be a red flag. I've seen profiles where the paragraphs seemed like cut-and-paste jobs, a collection of stuff the guy saw elsewhere and decided to stick into his page. I web-search key phrases to see if they are original or not.
I have seen many fake dick pics. Reverse image search is the second step. And possibly also cross-checking the profile here with other dating sites.
In conclusion, the fakery exists on both sides of the gender divide.
So much time spent analyzing, researching, blocking.... to get that possible someone.
It took me a little over two months before my first meet-and-let's-check-each-other-out.

Okay, first off many are here for different reasons. I myself joined as a joke and actually met a wonderful man that I have been with for the past 17 1/2 years. I am NOT looking on here and my profile states so clearly. In the magazine section there is a 'success stories' section where people have met and gotten married on here. Why so many think this is an online whorehouse and I have personally seen men write they would never marry a woman on here when THEY are here as well is beyond me. So you wouldn't marry a woman that liked sex or you think they are whores and because they like sex they are to disgusting for marriage, but h*ll you will f*ck them??? WTF dudes!!

I am not saying you do/did that, but it happens constantly. As the other women have said most men on here, MOST not all, but most want just sex and nothing else. They don't think about safety or the possibility of being robbed let alone catching a venereal disease. Women DO have to worry about our safety on here as rap3 is a very real aspect we have to go through. Men can be attacked also, but many think it will never happen to them and it does happen to men.

There are people here for just sex, to write stories (magazine section for that too), some to chat and many to blog. There is a myriad of reasons to be here. The scammers are rampant as they know the shortcomings of both genders and use that as a ruse to get their bucks, true story.

Women do NOT answer any and all messages due to again a plethora of reasons. If we say no thank you we get suddenly called fat, ugly whores and they did us a favor or they start begging for a chance. If we block them they make a new profile and come back to either attack us again or to try another angle. Some people are standard members and can only answer a few messages a day so they will use them on the ones they like not to say no thank you. MANY do not read profiles and contact someone not looking for what they are and women have gotten to the point as you saw in the few answers here to just ignore them as the profile was clear and they should know better. I get messages daily even though my profile clearly says I am not available, do not contact me for meetings or dates. I have heard they thought I was playing hard to get, they thought I wanted a challenge, or they just didn't read it and wanted to get laid using me for their cum hole. Asking me to go against my own preferences is not cool, not a compliment, and nothing I want.

You may ask why am I here. I am here as I love to answer blogs, post in the advice lines, and help newbies with how the site really works. It is not, as you found out, an online whorehouse. It is not easy to find someone. ALL MEN have a dick, but many ARE a dick and it gets them nowhere. Women need to like you, most men just need a location. Women are so flooded on here with messages we can be far more choosy. Now you may find that bad, but if a man had 100 women lined up you would go to the one you found the hottest first not the ugly one first. So do not say that women are just being too picky. You would be too if you had what we had facing us. There are many liars on here in both genders. As the one said yes, there are a ton of men using fake dick photos because they buy into the idea women will screw anyone with a 10 inch dick and that is just not true.

Use common sense.... Feel free to visit my blogs on the four types of messages women get...
