What I learned from a new bird feeder.

What I learned from a new bird feeder.

Last year I had a suet bird feeder but it was a pain to keep up. It attracted mocking birds and robins. This year I decided to put up a different feeder that is split. One side takes big seeds and the other tiny pieces that finches like. I was not sure if I would get any finches but I love seeing little yellow finches. To my surprise here is what I learned:

1. My pictures looked cloudy... reason; my window needed serious cleaning.
2. I now have Cardinals... those birds are territorial and aggressive.
3. Cardinals will not share so you only see one perched at the feeder at a time.
4. I have yellow finches!!! Yay!!
5. Finches are not territorial and you can see several on the feeder at a time.
6. Since this is a sex site I guess I should include something sexual so... I wonder if they make bird feeders in the shape of vagina's and penises. And, if so, can you tell the sexual preference of the bird by which feeder it would go to.

In addition to the cardinals and finches I am also getting chickadees and a few other small birds that I have never seen before.

I do love having a bird feeder. Just hope you don't get squirrels.

If you see me in the real world, come say "Hi Justskin."

I always behave. Preferably not well.

I had one stop by yesterday but after he saw he did not have a way to get to it he moved on. Hopefully he was the first and last squirrel.

I have several feeders and get mostly chickadees and brown birds jays are taking over a lot these days crazy pigs these birds are ...I will get more kinds as Spring comes .

Daytimer09B replies on 4/17/2019 7:08 am:
I have not seen any blue jays yet but someone else near me said they had them and that they were pretty aggressive towards other birds. It is really cool that I am looking at this little tiny bird, don't know what type, right now while I am writing this.

and since this is a sex site does not mean everything has to have a reference to sexual innuendo's or sex in general we can see what we want to anyplace kind of nice to see blogs that are not ...but well we can be wrong too..

I think there are many levels to the blogs on here and it is nice to have such a variety to choose from. Sometimes I like to just see the picture ones but then I always love the ones that simulate conversation and interactions. We all have a place here, just some commenters need to learn not to be rude when it is something that does not fit them.

I was going to say that as well.Squirrels love to feed on them as well a reason I never put one up myself.. I get a lot of humming birds on my flowers which I love myself.....

My old office got hummingbirds and I really loved watching those little birds. I tried a feeder here but just got sugar ants so I did away with it. Who would have ever thought I, a manly man, would ever get fascinated with little birds.

I remember roaming through the country as a kid and being spooked by quails. They would shoot up right next to you from the ground and scare the crap out of you. It is neat seeing so many different types of birds, kind of wish I lived in the tropics now because my favorites are the colorful ones.

I think the feeder helps to bring them in close so you can really get a good look at the bird. I have taken several pictures and am thinking about blowing up a few for a gallery.

bird feeders are fun. I'm in an apartment, so it's not really an option.

I did not know cardinals are territorial...every once in awhile I see one out the window. They always make me smile.

Not sure if all are but the ones that live around my place definitely are. I had four yellow finches on the feeder yesterday at the same time. Really cool to watch them. Beautiful little birds.
