554cals in 45mins today. watched some of season 2 of "Love" on netflix. good show, but Gillian Jacobs is a far better actor than her love interest. but when u create a show, i guess i get to be the lead, even if you can't act very well. thx Jerry Seinfeld

my depression got the better of me today. alarm went off at noon. i turned it off and didnt get out of bed til almost 4pm. didnt work out either. these kind of days happen, but i hope if i stick it the exercise and blog and things, they will keep getting fewer and farther between. back at it tomorrow.

did 233cals plus more? set it for workout #2 and it reset 5mins or so in. tried out workout #5 for 20mins and it was very easy. should probably be workout #1 on the list. wonder why the workouts aren't in order of difficulty? seems like the common sense thing to do to me lol.

burned almost an extra 50cals by starting at res 2 instead of 1 but following the same kind of progression as last time. wow. also found out that top res was not 1o but 18 lol. be awhile before i give that a go. also, for those that want to know, my rpms on the machine i'm keeping between 50-55 for these 45mins work outs.

another 432cals burned in 30mins. i felt more sweat this time too, so goin back to back days seems to be havin a noticeable effect right away. my energy was pretty high yesterday as well for longer than normal. so nice to see im feeling better physically. now if only i could look physically better lol.

1st day of my new routine went well. went with the 45min workout 1st as Gixxerlust suggested and it went well. burned 500cals in the 45mins. i did 5mins at resistance 1, then went to res 2 for 25 mins. than res 3 for 5-6mins and then i cracked it up to res 10 for a song. after that i scaled down from 3 thru 1 for the last 5mins to cool down. any ideas on how to play with the resistance settings would be helpful. until tomorrow when i go for day 2. hope i make it! lol

another 432 cals today in 30mins. gonna start going back to back days soon with one day being a program and the other just being more time, like 45mins or so. followed up by a day off. anyone know which workout should come 1st after the off day? the 30min intense routine or the 45min one?

Journey to better health

Hi. I thought I'd start this as a way to track my weight loss and overall journey to getting healthier. Also, I'd like to find some support here to help keep me going and to support others as well if they are on a similar journey.
I bought a elliptical machine in Nov. Since then i lost 4.5pds in Nov. Dec there was no change. Jan i lost 1pd.
Total 5.5pds to date.
My energy has gotten better and my sleep has gotten more regular, provided my RLS doesn't act up lol. My back has gotten worse, but that may be a result of my body taking shape and my old mattress which i now know i need to replace sooner than later.
Will add a pic soon as a way to rack my progress. Hope to add a new pic every month as a way to see results over a longer period of time. With more eyes looking at my results, hopefully you will see changes that i miss, as I'm not the most observant when it comes to my own body.
I'm taking a long term approach. I'm fine with slow progress, so long as there's progress
