And what to my wandering eyes did appear?

And what to my wandering eyes did appear? A skunk and a deer, trotting side by side down the road, on my way work this morning. Just when I thought I'd seen all.... I discover, I not! I'd never actually seen a skunk running before this morning, was a sight see. Are they always that awkward and clumsy looking trudging along down the road? And, what's up with that deer?!? I could smell that skunk from inside my car cruising past them doing 45 mph. I be honest.... I still find this country life pretty amazing. the reader told me to watch out for skunks.... You were right! They are out here! Happy Wednesday! |

They're filming a new version of Bambi. That was Bambi and Blossom, out on a break from shooting scenes.

We have a lot of wooded areas in the city here and i see or smell skunks almost daily. They do look odd when they run.

Yes, skunks move in an unusual motion when running. It is the way they are put together with shorter front legs then back legs. It looks clumsy until they stop and raise up in the back. At that point, you want to be ahead of Paul heading away from M Le Pew. Bambi and Blossom. Might be an interesting alternate story. Would Thumper be jealous?

So were the skunk running away from the deer after it sprayed it? I don't know how long you've lived in the country but just think of the things you've seen and well see. To top it off the peacefulness, and tranquility of it all. Happy Thursday I hope you're having a good day!!

Ms. secret_lade, Some of the sight we see in the country astound people. I seen a great many critters just wandering along together. I am still amazed when I see thing like you saw. Just be careful if you ever see a skunk during the day, because 9 out of 10 times that skunk is sick or rabid. At dusk and dawn I don't worry about them too much, but I still give them their space.

So I was taking my very, very early morning walk, down by the darkened lake — a couple of weeks ago — when guess who I ran into not far from the gazebo? Black with a white stripe and not a care in the world. I was ten feet from him before I noticed. Damn, I RAN in the opposite direction — while swallowing my screams. It's the forth time I've run into that guy. 😶 Have you ever been close to one? 😮❗❗

all in one night i saw a fox trying to cross the roadway, a skunk grubbin' for food as i got off my exit and when i got to my street, a deer was trottin' right next to my car. i was doing a slow 10mph but the deer was hoofin' it until he shot up the hill across the neighbors lawn. nature is the great provider
