These fragments of divine dreaming, separate shards of the shattered stained glass thoughts of she who made this clockwork universe out of boredom, share the flawed perception of the pointillist march of moments, this existence, this single tick as my finger strikes this key, and then that other one. We are no more than future becoming past. The gift of life is none but this, a plangent, tangent image of right now, so quickly gone, spinning off into memory. Notes played once and gone, the vibrations of our actions rippling out and away, sneeze of the butterfly flung from the breast of you, the mother, into the blackness, past the balls of rock named for gods and goddesses whose memory fades, written on the infinite stars.
