Introduction
Things I’ve learned from internet dating: 1. There are lots of really nice people on this site. There are also some complete lunatics. 2. Lots of people don't know the difference between "your" and "you're." 3. Most people don't know that the phrase "A lot" is two separate words. 4. It is very difficult for everyone (myself included) to categorize their own body type with the available choices. 5. Once you're out of college, it is increasingly difficult to meet people--especially if you're not into the "bar scene." 6. You can tell within five minutes of meeting someone whether or not you want to see them again. If you don't, you can be in for a really long evening (or an awkward climb out of a bathroom window). 7. I am stunned by the number of people that have a race requirement. 8. Women are sometimes really uncomfortable chatting with a younger guy, even if it's only a few years. 9. You can all stop writing that you love to have fun. There aren’t any profiles out there that say, "You know what I hate? Fun." 10. Spell check exists for a rea. Things I like: 1. Lists (ha!) 2. Stand-up comedy (Bill Hicks, Sarah Silverman, Eddie Izzard, Maria Bamford, Jim Gaffigan, Chris Rock, Bill Burr, Louis CK, Dave Chapelle, Kathleen Madigan, Mike Birbiglia, and Todd Barry are among my favorites) 3. Music (played semi-professionally for about 15 years); my favorites are Ani Difranco, Pearl Jam, Tool, Rage Against the Machine, Counting Crows, Tori Amos, Sarge, Fugazzi, Peter Gabriel, The Police, etc. 4. My job (I work for an internationally well-known non-profit) 5. Ultimate frisbee (I'm borderline psychotic about this), basketball (watching and playing), swimming, running 6. Spontaneous trips 7. Politics (I get up early on Sundays to watch the political shows) 8. Scrubs, My Name is Earl, The Office, Lost, Smallville, Heroes, Psych, Southpark, 30 Rock 9. NPR, Wait Wait Don't Tell Me 10. "Your mom" jokes 11. Game night! Trivial Pursuit, Taboo, etc. Not so much: 1. Clubs 2. Bars (unless it is to see a really good band) 3. FOX "News" 4. George W. Bush 5. Easily offended people 6. Bible-thumpers who are unwilling to listen to other points of view 7. George W. Bush (yes, I know I already listed him, but I REALLY hate that guy) I am looking for someone who is smart, funny, and athletic. Someone who likes to be outside as much as possible and isn’t afraid to get sweaty. Someone who is not interested in the bar scene, but likes to go out and find more interesting things to do. Someone who understands that Jon Stewart has the only newscast on television worth watching and that David Letterman is waaaaay funnier than Jay Leno. Here's the quick way to find out if we'd get along (all of this can be found free online): 1. Go get any CD by Louis CK. 2. Go get "Dressed to Kill" by Eddie Izzard. 3. Go get "Living in Clip" by Ani Difranco. 4. Listen to all 3. If you think they're awesome, write me. If you find the stuff offensive and/or baffling, you're likely to find me the same.

My Ideal Person I'm looking for a fun, open-minded woman who is interested in no-strings-attached fun. I'm tired of traditional "dating," and don't really have the time to commit to it anyway. I'm just looking to cut to the chase.
